The Game Expo is Melbourne's latest convention bringing together all things gaming and gaming culture under one roof! We've got everything you'd want out of a convention, from gaming tournaments, cosplay, tabletop gaming, and more! The Game Expo is scheduled to be held from March 23rd - 24th 2024 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Center.

While the expo is open to all ages, some games may be unsuitable for younger people. These will be appropriately signposted and blocked off as necessary.

Children 5 or under get free entry to the event, and a parent must accompany Kids 12 and under.

The Game Expo is in a public space, so if you want to take some photos or video, feel free to do so. However, if you are asked to not take photos/film of a person or an exhibit, please respect that request.

The Game Expo was formed by members of the gaming community who have come together in collaboration. With decades of experience in gaming events producing activations for the industry, or to support their favourite games and find more people to play together. This is a home grown expo from the teams behind numerous fan favourite gaming LANS , pop culture shows and esports events, including BAM (Battle Arena Melbourne), The Big LAN, ITZ Gaming, Kanga Esports, Events Engine and more.

VIP Ticket will include:

  1. Access to The Game Expo on Saturday and Sunday
  2. Access to the VIP Lounge (Drinks provided) (18+ Area)
  3. Each VIP Pass holder can bring one guest (regular ticket holder) with them to the VIP lounge
  4. Exclusive VIP Pin
  5. $100 voucher for The Game Expo Merch Booth
  6. VIP Early access to the expo floor from 9.30am
  7. Skip the queues with separate VIP lines for ticket collection and Expo Entry.

 

Registration

Early Bird tickets for the event will be available on Tixr starting from October 27th.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the door if they have not already sold out online. Please be aware that our ticket sales were sold out last year. We highly recommend buying your tickets online to ensure availability and to avoid any potential disappointment.

Yes! Children 5 or under get free entry to the event. Please note that tickets for children between 6-12 can be found on Tixr (Teens are considered adults).

Passholders with a valid Companion or Vic Carer's Card will be given free entry for their Companion. This does not need to be pre-purchased online, but you will need to show the Companion or Carer's card when collecting your pass at the show. Companions cannot enter the show without the passholder, and are not eligible to enter any competitions or tournaments.

Venue

There's plenty of parking underneath the convention center, as well as even more at nearby South Wharf. For more details and pricing, check out the MCEC website.

Yes! We'll have food stands open at MCEC, plus the nearby South Wharf and Crown Casino also have a variety of food options.

Yes! However, we strongly advise that you don't rely on it, as there's a very good chance of it being congested due to other people using it at the same time.

MCEC is extremely accessible if you use a wheelchair, but if there are any specific requirements you may need to get around the show floor, please get in touch with us so we can accommodate you.
