Cancer Council and The Game Expo Announce Partnership

Cancer Council and the Game Expo collaborating to drive awareness among gamers and help to fight cancer as charity partner for Apex Legends and Rocket League tournaments at the Game Expo

Cancer Council, Australia’s leading cancer charity, is working across every area of cancer from research to prevention and support. In this crucial mission, Cancer Council is also reaching out to gamers and will be collaborating with The Game Expo, a show dedicated to gaming culture: community, competition and creativity.

As part of one of the most exciting segments of the Game Expo, Cancer Council will be the official partner to the PC Tournament Zone, which features tournaments for Rocket League, and our marquee event, a 60 player Apex Legends Creator Showcase. Within this event, Youtube and Twitch content creators will be battling to see who is the greatest in the first ever in Australia, live offline Apex Legends tournament!

Now, we also support people affected by cancer.  We encourage players, fans and creators to support the drive to raise donations for Cancer Council and show gamers are here to help.

“We are thrilled to be joining with The Game Expo to help create a fun and engaging event for gamers. We are seeing that gaming and the communities around games provide joy and connection for people. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of the gaming community, their donations and live streams, enable ground-breaking research and critical cancer support services.” said Cancer Council’s Josh McNeil – Manager, Mass Fundraising
