TGX Cosplay Cup FAQ
When is The TGX Cosplay Cup?
The TGX Cosplay Cup will be held on Sunday March 24, and the parade will be on Saturday March 23 2024.
Can we enter as a group?
No, the TGX Cosplay Cup is only for solo entrants.
You asked for my cosplay social media links on the application, is this taken into consideration in the final judging?
No. We only ask for this information to get a better idea of you as a cosplayer, as well as being able to shout out your accounts on our social media, with your consent.
Does my costume need to be made just for The Cosplay Cup?
No, you can use a costume you’ve made previously, or one in progress, as long as it abides by the rules and has not previously placed in another competition.
I only cosplay as a hobby, can I enter?
Absolutely! The Cosplay Cup is for experienced cosplayers, but this does not mean you have to be a professional cosplayer to enter.
Does my costume have to be large?
No. As an advanced level competition, the judges will be looking at accuracy to a reference, as well as quality of construction and complexity of skills.
Are there other cosplay events at TGX?
There will be a Cosplay Parade on Saturday, and have photo areas and activities all weekend!
Where can I ask more questions?
Please email [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as we can!
What is needed to enter?
To enter the TGX Cosplay Cup, you must have a costume that is at least 50% complete at the time of application, and a reference portfolio / buildbook detailing the construction of your costume.
You also need to purchase either a Sunday or Weekend pass to The Game Expo.
